JIANGSU, CHINA — As its first step to establish operations in China, KSL Biomedical has built 450 square meters of administrative and laboratory space in the Jiangsu Industrial Zone. This provides initial administrative offices and validation laboratories to manage current corporate activities in China. KSL Biomedical has signed an agreement to build an additional 3,500 square meter 2 unit building to house research and development, manufacturing and distribution, laboratory and technical consulting units, planned for occupancy in September 2018.
KSL Biomedical LLC today announced the opening of its first physical location in China. The company had previously operated with its network of scientists and institutions on a virtual basis from headquarters in the USA. This is seen as the first in several steps to build infrastructure in China. KSL simultaneously announced signing of an agreement to build two additional buildings of 1,750 square meters each which will house expanding business units.
The initial incubator space in intended to provide:
Management of ongoing diagnostic and therapeutic clinical trials
Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs consulting
IVD validation laboratory
“The whole KSL team understands the value of collaborations between the USA and China. Establishing this facility gives us a foundation to grow on and demonstrates our commitment to the Chinese market,” said Yichen Liang, KSL General Manager for China. “The company is growing quickly. We plan to add manufacturing, distribution and laboratory units in the year ahead that will be housed in the buildings under construction now.”
